DRIVER QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

We are an award winning facility operating in the top 1% of towing companies. We require our employee's to have excellent communication skills and deliver the highest level of customer service. 

Full time applicants need to be willing to work 40-60 hours per week including nights, alternating weekends, and holidays. Full time is an hourly paid position plus commission and monthly bonuses.

Part time applicants would be paid either hourly plus commission or just commission depending on availability.

Required must be at least 21 years old.

Required North Carolina driver's license with clean driving history.

Required ability to pass drug screening which will be conducted before employment and randomly during employment.

Required clean criminal background with no misdemeanor or felony charges and no restrictions for military base access.

The duties of a tow truck operator consist of communicating with a dispatcher, driving to the scene of an accident or breakdown, and safely and efficiently loading and transporting vehicle.

Drivers will need to have good communication skills and be personable to interact with customers, speaking to them about their automotive problems and will need to have a basic knowledge of cars and automotive parts.

Drivers will need to have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and will perform tire changes, jump starts, lockout services, replacing batteries, and winching of vehicles.

Driver will also have to write up reports of services rendered and accept payments.

Duties: 

  • Take incoming calls for towing service, impounds, and accidents with detail and accuracy.
  • Coordinate and dispatch services for up to 25 trucks and drivers ranging from light to heavy duty.
  • Schedule and prioritze services depending on urgency and availability.
  • Take incoming calls for stored vehicles, answer release questions relating specifically to the laws of towing and impoundment, and process paperwork while maintaining compliance with all requirements and laws.
  • Perform releases and cashier duties for impounded vehicles with potentially dishonest, demanding, and challenging customers.
  • Administrative and clerical duties.
  • Billing and collection of towing services.
  • Organization and light cleaning of work space and common areas.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent computer, typing, and data entry skills
  • Previous experience in billing or clerical roles
  • Detail oriented and exceptionally organized.
  • Proficiency in logistics and dispatching
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivated.
  • Strong ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong desire to help people and solve challenging problems.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to retain and process constantly changing scenarios.
  • Familiar with the Eastern Carolina area including knowledge of main streets and key landmarks, ability to use google maps, and give and take directions.
  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Have a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
  • Be able to pass pre-employement and random drug screenings.

FLEET MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN qualifications and requirements

This is a full time position and requires a Monday through Friday schedule from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Occassionly there will be a need or opportunity to come in early, work late, or work on a Saturday depending on availabilty, demand of the job, and vehicle breakdowns.

Required must be at least 21 years old.

Required North Carolina driver's license with clean driving history.

Required ability to pass drug screening which will be conducted before employment and randomly during employment.

The duties of a Fleet Maintenance Technician is to perform inspections and provide basic and preventative care and maintenance to vehicles and equipment. This includes changing oil, checking fluid levels, rotating tires, and repairing or replacing worn parts such as brake pads, wheel bearings, sensors, batteries, alternators, etc. This position will require work primarily on our fleet of over 30 rollbacks, wreckers, service trucks, tractors, trailers, and administrative vehicles. It will also include preventative maintenance and simple mechanical repairs on fleet vehicles for other commercial accounts as well as State Inspections for the general public.

Applicants will need to have good communication skills and be personable to interact with customers when necessary. Applicants should list prior mechanical experience. Applicants will need to have the ability to lift up to 75 pounds and to write up reports of services rendered.
